Seller and scope

Demo Auctions (“Seller”) operates this storefront and is the merchant and auction operator for its listings. These terms apply to bids, purchases, payments, pickup, shipping, returns, and refunds with Seller. Auction Stand supplies the hosting platform and is not the seller of listed items; its separate Platform Terms govern use of the software.

These standard auction and sale terms are provided by Auction Stand and used by every store on the platform. Seller has adopted them for this storefront. Seller may publish additional information and promises for its own storefront, as described under “Store information and listing details” below.

Listings and item condition

Read each listing, photographs, condition information, location, and fulfillment options before bidding. Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, used and auction items are sold as-is, where-is, with faults. Descriptions are provided in good faith but may not identify every defect. Any inspection opportunity and listing-specific warranty will be stated in the listing. Nothing here excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Binding bids and proxy bidding

Entering a maximum bid authorizes the platform to bid incrementally on your behalf up to that amount. The highest eligible bid when the auction closes is the winning bid, subject to any disclosed reserve and the platform's tie and timing rules. Seller may reject fraudulent, erroneous, or prohibited activity and may correct a clear technical malfunction.

Bids are intended to be final and cannot be withdrawn except with Seller’s approval or where required by law. Any request must be made before the auction closes. Once the auction closes, the winning bid is binding, subject to applicable law.

Extended closing (soft close)

If an eligible bid is received shortly before an auction’s scheduled closing time, the auction may be extended so that other bidders have a chance to respond. Additional eligible bids received in that window may extend it again. Seller configures the trigger period and the length of each extension for this storefront. An auction therefore may close later than its originally scheduled time.

Price, premium, tax, and fees

Each auction displays its buyer's-premium rate before you bid. Your confirmation shows an estimate based on your bid limit; you pay the winning hammer price, not necessarily that limit. Applicable buyer's premium and tax are added as shown at checkout. Shipping, card-processing fees, discounts, or credits apply only when disclosed in the listing, quote, or checkout. Do not assume listed bid prices include tax.

Payment

The winner must pay using an offered payment method by the deadline communicated by Seller. Payment must clear before release or shipment unless Seller expressly agrees otherwise. Failed, reversed, or disputed payments may result in cancellation, account restrictions, recovery costs permitted by law, and the item being offered again.

If payment is not received by Seller’s deadline, Seller may cancel the transaction, relist the item, restrict the buyer’s bidding privileges, and pursue reasonable losses or costs permitted by law.

Pickup and shipping

Available fulfillment methods and any pickup location are shown on each listing. The listing states the number of calendar days the winner has after Seller marks the item ready to complete pickup or arrange offered shipping; that period is saved with the auction and does not shorten if Seller later changes its default. A shipping quote may be requested only after Seller marks the item ready. While Seller prepares a requested quote, the buyer pickup and no-show clock is paused and Seller must respond within the disclosed quote-action window. If Seller misses that deadline, Seller may cancel the transaction and return the item to inventory as a seller quote timeout, but must not treat the buyer as a no-show. Once Seller provides a quote, the winner must accept it within the separately disclosed buyer-response deadline. If that deadline passes, the shipping request is cancelled and the item returns to the winner's fulfillment queue with the paused time restored; the purchase stands and the original pickup period continues to run, so the winner may still collect the item or request a further quote before that period expires. Accepting a quote starts or restarts the payment deadline so time spent waiting for Seller does not count against the winner; if the winner then cancels an accepted quote, that restarted period is withdrawn and the winner returns to the time that remained beforehand. Risk and delivery terms remain subject to mandatory law and any listing-specific disclosure.

Cancellations, returns, and refunds

All bids and completed auction sales are final unless the listing states a return right, Seller agrees to a cancellation or refund, the item materially differs from an express listing representation, or applicable law requires a remedy. Contact Seller promptly with the item and order details. Approved refunds may exclude non-refundable delivery or processing costs to the extent permitted by law and are returned through the supported payment workflow. These terms do not limit statutory consumer rights.

Store information and listing details

Seller publishes current operating information for this storefront, which may include pickup location and hours, holiday closures, accepted payment methods, fulfillment options, contact details, and general pickup instructions. That information may be updated from time to time and is provided as a notice, not as an amendment to these terms. Information shown on a particular listing or order applies to that transaction.

A clear Seller promise that gives buyers additional rights is binding on Seller. Store information cannot reduce the rights provided by these terms or by applicable law. Where store information or listing details conflict with these terms, whichever gives the buyer greater rights applies, and applicable law controls over both.

Accounts and conduct

You must be legally able to contract, provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and not manipulate bidding, use false identities, interfere with an auction, or violate law. Seller may suspend bidding privileges for non-payment, abuse, fraud risk, or material breach.
